Watch New Footage of Nirvana Playing Radio Shack in 1988

Just one day after recording their first demo tape, Nirvana performed at a Radio Shack. Yep, you read that right. For a handful, and we do mean that, of fans, this show will forever be bragged about.

We should preface this video with the fact that Nirvana hadn’t even settled on a name, thus this January 24, 1988 show in Aberdeen, Washington, at a Radio Shack is even more incredible.

The 17-minute video was shared by video archivist, Mike Ziegler. What you won’t see is Dave Grohl. Dale Crover (Melvins) was on the kit, while Krist Novoselic and Kurt Cobain are not even plugged in. Instead, the music is synched with the demo.

Enjoy.
