Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready Debuts “You’re the Song” from ‘The Glamour & The Squalor’ Soundtrack

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready recently shared a new song for a movie soundtrack titled The Glamour & The Squalor. The film follows the life of DJ Marco Collins, from Seattle’s 107.7 FM “The End.” The movie was released in 2015 and followed the DJ’s career as he helps promote bands that most of the world had not yet heard. One of the artist highly impacted by Collins was Mike McCready.

For the soundtrack, which will see a September 1 release, along with the film, McCready wrote “You’re the Song.” It features another Seattle song maker, Kim Virant of Lazy Susan on vocals. McCready says he wrote it “in remembrance of all the musicians from Seattle who aren’t here anymore, but their music remains.”
