Stevie Wonder Takes Knee in Solidarity with Colin Kaepernick at Global Citizen Festival

Just before his performance at the 2017 Global Citizen Festival, Stevie Wonder took a knee in solidarity with former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick. While doing so, he made the statement:

“Tonight, I’m taking a knee for America.” While on both knees, he prayed for “our planet, our future, our leaders of the world, and our globe.”

MSNBC shared the event, which comes days after that orange colored guy in the White House stated, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He’s fired. He’s fired!’” to a crowd in Alabama.
