Earlier this week, rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison on a probation violation. It is a prime example of what is wrong with the current system. While Mill was charged twice, both were dropped. How can a violation occur if no convictions are handed down? Because the judge is a raging piece of shit.
Last night (November 6) JAY-Z spoke out about his extreme outrage about the ridiculous charges:
“If you give me two seconds…I’ve got to say something about a young man by the name of Meek Mill. He caught a charge when he was, like, 19. He’s 30 now; he’s been on probation for 11 years. Fucking 11 years. Judge gave him two to four years because he got arrested for being on a bike and popping a fucking wheelie.” He continued, “Black people in particular, we gotta get our shit together. You’re not second-class to anybody.”
