Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien Announces New Solo Album

Radiohead‘s Ed O’Brien has announced a new solo album which should be out by summer 2018. The project comes to fruition after collaborating with  producers Flood and Catherine Marks for an intense three week session. He says it was inspired by  the Carnival in Rio.

Other players on the project are Nathan EastDave Okumu, and Omar Hakim.

O’Brien told Esquire

“Because the Radiohead touring has been going on longer than I expected, I wasn’t able to start the record October of this year. So the idea is to have it finished by this summer to have it all mixed and mastered. Then we have to find a label for it. So we’re looking at the back end of next year or early 2019.”
