Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has shared a 40-minute film that will both intrigue and delight. Pillbox is a dark carnival ride mixed with equal parts of Stanley Kubrick. It will grab your attention. The film alternates between black and white and color, and does so with gusto. It feels like these are necessary aspects of the viewing. It is completed by music from his latest project Ogilala.
In a press release, Corgan says, “”I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album, to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie. Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself.”
