Nashville Musicians to Celebrate Life of Jessi Zazu

Nashville will celebrate the life of Jessi Zazu, who lost her life after a long battle with cervical cancer on September 13 of this year.

Her work as the frontwoman for Those Darlins, showcased her love and light to the world around her. She may be gone, but she is not forgotten.

On January 11, the Nashville music community will gather to sing and dance and cry and laugh, all in memory of Jessi. The benefit concert is being called Ain’t Afraid: Songs of Jessi Zazu and Those Darlins at Mercy Lounge. It will feature a house band comprised of Jerry Pentecost, original Darlins Kelley and Linwood, later Darlin, Duncan Shea, alongside a cavalcade of superstar guest singers including: Alicia Bognanno, John McCauley (of Deer Tick), Caitlin Rose, Parker Gispert, Adam Weiner (of Low Cut Connie), Lauren Gilbert, Jessica McFarland and Mimi Galbierz from Savoy Motel, Larissa Maestro, Jasmin Kaset, Becca Richardson, Leah Miller, Dante Schwebel, Harry Kagan (of Music Band), Richie Kirkpatrick, Tiffany Minton, Becca Mancari (also of Bermuda Triangle)and more…..

All proceeds will be going to Jessi Zazu Inc. A non profit formed to carry on her spirit, supporting opportunities for young people in the arts, awareness of women health and health services and the continuing peaceful efforts in social justice.
