Marshmello & Lil Peep Collaborate on New Song “Spotlight”

Marshmello has shared a new song titled “Spotlight,” which features the recently deceased rapper Lil Peep. This is the first posthumous release from the rapper who passed away last month. The emo rapper suffered from depression and voiced that sentiment in his lyrics. He organically grew his audience through Soundcloud with the releases of LiL PEEP PART ONE, and Come Over When You’re Sober (Part One).

Speaking about the track, Marshmello said, “Peep brought an excitement to music that was unparalleled to anybody I’ve ever met. We started an idea together, that unfortunately we were never able to officially finish together. When I listen to this track now I get chills wishing he could hear it. This record is dedicated to Peep’s mother, family, friends and his fans. Gus will live forever through his music and that is something we should all be extremely thankful for.”
