On Sunday morning, a story broke in Babe about comedian/actor Aziz Ansari. It details a long, bad night that an unnamed photographer spent spent on a date with Ansari. Over the course of the evening, Ansari would make several attempts to have sex with “Grace,” all of which she left her thinking, “I was debating if this was an awkward sexual experience or sexual assault. And that’s why I confronted so many of my friends and listened to what they had to say, because I wanted validation that it was actually bad.”
She details several moments when she says that she gave clear, non-verbal and verbal cues that she did not want the date to escalate to physical. She then recalls several instances when Ansari shoved his fingers in her throat, put her hand in his dick, and continually tried to lead the date towards intercourse.
She said, “This was not what I expected. I’d seen some of his shows and read excerpts from his book and I was not expecting a bad night at all, much less a violating night and a painful one.”
In a 2015 article by SheKnows, Ansari stated, “You know what I realized recently? Creepy dudes are everywhere. It really sucks, ‘cuz women have to worry about creepy dudes all the time. And it’s very unfair because men never worry about creepy women. That’s not a thing.”
Representatives for Ansari have not commented on the allegations.

This is the text Grace* sent Aziz Ansari after their date which left her feeling “violated”. She tells Ansari how uncomfortable he made her feel, saying “you ignored clear non-verbal cues” and “kept going with advances.”
