Brandi Carlile Early Premiers New Album ‘By The Way, I Forgive You’

Fans of Brandi Carlile are freaking out, which means that we are freaking out. Her highly anticipated new album By The Way, I Forgive You, is now streaming in full as part of NPR Music’s “First Listen” series. The physical release is slated for February 16. Fans can pre-order it now. Each digital pre-order comes with an immediate download of “The Joke.” The stream can be found here.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and acclaimed musician Shooter Jennings, the album is Carlile’s first release in partnership with Cobb’s Low Country Sound imprint at Elektra Records. In advance of the release, the album’s first single, “The Joke,” is premiering today (watch a live performance of the song filmed at RCA Studio A.
In celebration of the album, the band will embark on an extensive nationwide tour this year including shows at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom (sold out), Seattle’s Moore Theatre (two nights, both sold out), New York’s Beacon Theatre (three nights), Boston’s Orpheum Theatre (two nights, first night sold out), Chicago’s Chicago Theatre and Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. All concert tickets are now on sale.
